ok...WORD IS OUT...

    OK...so word is out... I had surgery last week.  Nothing major. Just a laproscopic procedure (nissen fundiplication) to solve my acid reflux condition that has been causing me VOICE issues, among others. A preacher can't lose his voice! the great news is that God had blessed me! The condition is FIXED, I've enjoyed a quick recovery, and I'm back in the saddle! I HAVE lost 13 lbs! Liquid diet. Back on food TODAY! I didn't make big deal about this, for LOTS of reasons:

1. Didn't want everyone to skip church because I was not going to be there this past weekend.
2. Didn't want to OVERWHELM my wife with phone calls and emails with everyone asking if I was still alive.
3. Didn't want everyone to be "concerned" about me. 
4. I pretty much like to be left alone when I don't feel well (don't you?)

Thanks to all of you that have known and have prayed. Thanks to those of you who have cared. As I said, I am back in the saddle and will see you guys this weekend! Come by and see a leaner, meaner me! Yea, God!!!!

13 pounds lighter? You are going to be too skinny.
I am glad that everything went well, and look forward to having you back in the saddle.
We ALL would have been concerned- and I am sure you and your wife would have been over innundated with calls- so good call on keeping it low profile.
