Today was one of those days...

This morning I woke up and all of a sudden I was REALLY struggling with the message. I had sinus drainage from my allergies,; I felt like my equilibrium was off due to the fluid in my ears, and I really thought: "My Gosh, I'm in trouble! This message is going to stink!" I was even struggling with my voice! I honestly did not know how I was going to make it through FOUR worship services preaching, as well as Newcomer's Lunch!
And then, as many times before, when the lights came on, and it was time to teach, God gave me the strength, the grace, and the recall. The message seemed clear in my mind FOR THE FIRST TIME THIS MORNING, and God moved through the message. If anybody wonders, teaching simply reveals the power of God in and through my life as nothing else. I could not do what I do without HIS power at work in me. In fact, publicly, right here, I just wanted to thank My Lord and Savior Jesus Christ for a GREAT DAY.  I really believe God used the message in a powerful way! I want to give praise to God for placing His Spirit inside of me and using me in some small way for His glory. I love you, Lord!

You had us fooled...you seemed to be on top of your game, Shawn! (Now we know WHO to thank!) We've discussed your message several times this week and I've commented how I enjoyed it again two years later and how clever the analogy is of peanut butter and jelly. With that one analogy you were able to hit on so many peripheral topics. Great job as always....thanks.

Funny how God always delivers.
