Elephant II recap...

AWESOME DAY YESTERDAY!!!!

• We exposed elephant #2: "Why is God allowing this to happen?"
• I can't believe we're having this much fun in the book of Job!
• We fooled a TON of you with our crowd "plants" answering their cell phones in the service! What an elephant in the room!
  
• Why didn't ANYONE say anything to them? You guys don't love us!!!
• "Most bad things happen because God CHOSE to let us CHOOSE."
• "When bad things happen, it's often probably one of three things or a combination of all three: because God gave Adam & Eve the power to choose; because God gives people around us the power to choose; or because God has given US the power to choose!"
• "When bad things happen we still have a choice: Kneel or Bail. Job chose to kneel; and in the end that decisions made all the difference!"
• POWERFUL Worship time at the end of the service, as we all expressed the heart of Job in our own lives through the song "Blessed be the Name of the Lord". I'm including the words to this song at the end of this post, because I want them to be the desire of our hearts today:

Couldn't wait to see your post this am, just wanted to say I think yesterday was a great day for me and for others in the church. Your teaching reassured me that GOD is still there for me even when I think he might not be. The encouragement you gave me from God's word and your heart to knell not bail really does make all the difference. Can't wait for next week.

I think yesterday's message was one of the best ever--at least it was for me. I sat in the audience and thought to myself that God was using you to speak DIRECTLY to me (and I wondered how many other folks thought the same thing).
