My goodness. I know I always say it, but yesterday at Mountain Lake rocked! In every way! Here are a few reflections:
- I convinced more than ever before that most people don’t believe in themselves the way GOD believes in them.
- As pastors, it’s impossible to over-encourage people!
- Trend? Growing churches encourage people. Declining churches beat people up? What do you think?
- The greatest ceiling on our potential is our unwillingness to leave the land of the land of Ur. The land of familiar, that is.
- Can’t wait to discuss this message in Growth Group this week!
- At the conclusion of the message, we had people stand up all over the place, expressing their desire to leave the land of eth familiar! People stood up committing to: Change Careers, go back to school, go home and be wit the kids and start new businesses; Start serving God here at Mountain Lake; go public with their faith; and give their lives to Jesus!
- Nothing wears me out like laying it on the line emotionally when I preach! I’m still exhausted this morning!
- IN every service we had people stand up, giving their lives to Jesus publicly!
- We baptized people at both campuses yesterday. Baptisms are already full for this coming Sunday! Love that!
- Our final backstage pass event which included a tour of our new Worship Auditorium, as packed! We’ve seen about 75% of our attendance at these events! People generally care about the vision and future God has put before us at Mountain Lake!
- Praying that people will seriously talk and pray this week, regarding our Greater Impact Offering this Sunday. It will require extraordinary faith by us all!
- Potential COOKOUT this coming Sunday @ N. Forsyth Campus! WOW!
- God somehow works through me. I’ve yet to figure out how and why. He just picked me randomly, is all I can figure. But I’m thankful to have been chosen for this unbelievable opportunity to pastor Mountain Lake Church!
