These days, God is planting a bigger vision in my mind heart fro our ministry and our church. I feel God calling me to look up and count the stars, just like He did Abraham, and get a glimpse of the bigger potential he has for men and our church!God does this from time to time in my life. However, can I be honest with you? God regularly do this in my life, because over time, the problem with vision is that:
- Vision leaks.
- Vision shrinks.
- Vision dies.
See, the problem isn’t often RECEIVING a vision from God. It’s maintaining the vision that God has placed in our hearts and minds! Why does the vision seem to leak, shrink, and die? Several reasons:
- Fatigue
- Failure
- Fear
- Other people
- The length of time the vision is taking to become reality
That’s eth problem with vision. At least, it’s a challenge. The challenge is that we don’t just go to God one time and then go try to live out the vision on our own! We have to stay connected to God to keep the vision alive and moving forward! What about you? Is the vision alive? Passionate? Moving forward? If not, the answer may be simpler than we realize! Jesus said: “If a man remains in me and I in Him He will bear much fruit” (Jn 15:5). If you’re struggling maintaining the vision: stop, go back, and reconnect with Jesus, and watch the clouds clear your view to the stars, and God will remind you that you’ve still got potential!
