Above everything else, there’s one primary thing Christians have going for us. GRACE. GRACE is the real distinctive of the life of a Christ follower. NOT morality, by the way. Just because we become Christians, it doesn’t mean we aren’t still JACKED UP SINNERS. We still fail. We still struggle. We still tend to be self centered, self sufficient, selfish, prideful, shameful sinners! The good news is that being a good person is not what makes us Christians! Jesus does! A relationship with Him does! His forgiveness of our sins does!
Jesus’ grace is what makes Christians different! We’re forgiven! We’re not condemned! We’re not guilty! We’re released. Set free. The best thing Christians have going for us is grace. So today, if you know Jesus, thank Him for the one thing you have going for you that MOST of the world does NOT HAVE: GRACE!
If, for whatever reason, you’ve never asked Jesus to come into your life and be YOUR Forgiver and Leader, just do it now! Confess your sin to Him! You acknowledgement of your imperfection makes you a candidate for His grace! Give Him Your life! THEN you’ll have something going for you! the best thing: GRACE!
“So now there is no condemnation for those who belong to Christ Jesus. For the power of the life-giving Spirit has freed you through Christ Jesus from the power of sin that leads to death. The law of Moses could not save us, because of our sinful nature. But God put into effect a different plan to save us. He sent his own Son in a human body like ours, except that ours are sinful. It never gets old hearing about God's AMAZING GRACE! However, I do not always have an easy time accepting His grace in my life. Thank goodness for the work God has done in the last several years in me thourgh MLC.It is definaltely a journey thing for me.
