Hey guys! Happy Monday! Thanks for a great weekend! Today, I want to talk to you guys about how the blog is going to work and how it's not going to work. I just wanted to remind you of some guidelines. We haven't had any
major issues, I am just being proactive so I don't hurt anyone's
feelings later!
First, I would love to be able to answer questions on your posts, but I just can not respond to them and still be the Pastor God wants me to be...So don't post questions on here. If you have a question for me, I am always available in the lobby after every service weekly.
Second, this blog's purpose is for me to be able to share my heart, the dream God has for this great church, and the latest info concerning MLC. It's not a blog for anyone else to "vent" on. So many of you have left comments about what God is doing in your life and that's what the posts are for. But if you feel the need to "vent about " or "question" the vision here at MLC, this is not the place. Your comments probably won't even make it on to the site. Once again, I am available every week in the lobby after our services. Just speaking the truth in love...
i have such a great time on inviting people to mlc. and the ones that show up are always astonished on the people and their friendship. also on the pasters, showing us they are just like us. on a journey to be more like christ. hey and our group, could'nt make it with out it. keep up the good work everyone. i love you all.

High-five to Shawn's leadership. One of the things I LOVE about Mountain Lake is that the leadership is proactive. They head off minor problems before they become major issues. I've learned so much about leadership from MLC. In fact this, and many other practices, have transferred well into my classroom. (series/blogs/buzz words/small-groups/the works)
We really do have one of the world's best churches. Thanks to you all!

Hi Shawn,
I had to let you know how the WOW movement has opened my eyes....
For the past year I have driven down Kelly Mill Rd. watching West H.S. being constructed without ever having any thought about it. That is until I heard about the WOW movement at WNL. I was driving home that following Thursday as usual, but this time was different. I once again saw West H.S. being constructed, but I also noticed all the homes being newly built that surround the school. I got butterflies while thinking how much potential we (MLC)has in reaching people and helping them BELONG and BECOME!!! Thank you for making it possible for ME to open my eyes and heart to care and love those people whom will one day occupy those homes, before that day I was totally oblivious to the thought of the families that will soon occupy them.
I cannot explain how it excites me to no end to know that MLC is doing what it takes to reach those in need of Jesus!
WOW!!!

I got the card for Click. I set it on my kitchen counter. I was praying for the PERFECT church for me to attend. My daughter was doing the same. We decided to go during Click. We were blessed by God's word being spoken. We invited our husbands. We started inviting sons/siblings. We invited girlfriends of sons/siblings. We almost take up an entire row now. (I have to convince everyone that Saturday night is the BEST, but...) At Thanksgiving dinner, we had three continents and five countries represented. God is ABLE! Wow!
