We've all been there. We've all had our buttons pushed. We've all had the wonderful experience of doing life with someone who just gets on our nerves; sucks the life out of us; constantly hurts our feelings with their sarcasm or actions! Sometimes they don't even have to do anything wrong. they're just "different". Needy. All of these people, though, have one thing in common: They're button pushers. They bother us. They steal our joy. They inhibit our ability to love God and love people they way God wants us to. That's why it's important that we stop trying to get away from button pushers. We CAN'T get away from them. We're not SUPPOSED to get away from them. We've got to DEAL with them. Dealing with difficult people can actually be a great way to honor the character of God in our lives! That's why I'm pumped about our new series beginning this Sunday:
Dear Shawn and MLC,
I just wanted to express gratitude for the way you do church. MLC's "hair" might look different some days, but "her heart beat" is always the same. I invited my girlfriend to church this Sunday. She and I went to church together when we were youth, and we have strayed from each other over the years. We just started talking again..another answered prayer. Long story short.. I invited her to church, and she came today and loved it. :) Her son did as well, so she is coming back next week with her husband. I knew she would enjoy it because MLC never really changes...it is a place to belong and become. Thanks again.
